FICTION CAN BE FUN!! Jim Carey

I talk a lot about health this and health that, mostly it sounds like a lot of work,RIGHT? Well that's fiction at it's finest- there are so many FUN healthy activities to choose from!

Being healthy isn't ALL about lifting weights, running marathons, or yoga poses. It's about having a healthy lifestyle, which doesn't necessarily mean celery sticks and hunger pains.
Thursday nights are one of the highlights of my week as far as personal time goes... for the last year I've been going to LA fitness and playing recreational volleyball. It started out being slightly intimidating since it's mostly a bunch of guys who can hit a ball at mach 3 at your face. Then I got to know them and realized they are all there to have a good time (Chris featured on the upper right- keeps us guessing with his apparel-he actually had regular basketball shorts on but hey if you have legs like his you might as well show them off, right? love that kid!) The point isn't to torture yourself into good health it's about learning how to enjoy this lifestyle. try rock climbing ( Lucas is a fan!) , racquetball, diving, (Alfred on the left show off his vertical and perfect form- we secretly hate him, j/k Alfred we're just jealous and a little scared... ;)horseback riding, wrestling, kick boxing, cycling, there are LOTS of things to do that don't involve training for the Boston Marathon, or racing in the Tour De France..Kayaking, tennis, rowing, Zumba (the spicy way to do a aerobics), yoga, chasing your kids, soccer, baseball, football, ballet, ballroom dancing, walking, gymnastics, jumping on the trampoline, swimming... you get the point... (Picture below- is Justin's highschool- his little brother isn't in this picture but we were there to watch him play)Go learn something new that gets you off the couch, off the computer and into some spandex!! ok, maybe not spandex but get the blood flowing. Physical activity is good for more than the heart, it's good for the soul, the mind and your emotions... So when you feel like life's got you down, GET UP!! and GET MOVING...
